Sensex up 92pts; Guj Amb plunges 5%

The Sensex is now up 92 points at 12,798.

ICICI Bank has soared 4% to Rs 857, and Reliance Energy has surged 3.5% to Rs 492.

Hero Honda, ITC and HLL have advanced around 2% each to Rs 649, Rs 144 and Rs 187, respectively.

SBI and BHEL have gained around 1.5% each at Rs 968 and Rs 2,073, respectively. Infosys has added 1% to Rs 2,076.

Gujarat Ambuja has plunged 4.5% to Rs 106. Grasim has dropped 2% to Rs 2,085.

Ranbaxy, Dr.Reddy's and HDFC have declined over 1% each to Rs 332, Rs 672 and Rs 1,550.

Out of 2,523 stocks traded so far, 1,421 have declined, 1,008 have advanced and 94 are unchanged.
