Sensex up 92pts; Infosys advances 2%

The Sensex is now up 92 points at 15,056.

Reliance Energy has soared 2.7% to Rs 614. BHEL and Larsen & Toubro have surged over 2% each to Rs 1,587 and Rs 2,417, respectively.

ONGC, Infosys and HDFC have rallied 1.7% each to Rs 895, Rs 2,005 and Rs 1,948, respectively.

Cipla, Bharti Airtel, HDFC Bank and Wipro are up 1% each at Rs 215, Rs 876, Rs 1,166 and Rs 525, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever has shed 1.5% to Rs 197. ICICI Bank has slipped 1% to Rs 972.

Out of 2,516 stocks traded so far, 1,616 have advanced, 838 have declined and 62 are unchanged.
