Sensex up 92pts; JP Associates drops 5%

The Sensex is now up 92 points at 14,902.

The NSE Nifty is up 48 points at 4,551.

DLF has surged 2.5% to Rs 619. Bharti Airtel and NTPC have rallied around 2% each to Rs 758 and Rs 191, respectively.

Reliance Energy and Reliance Communications have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 1,211 and Rs 491, respectively.

Maruti has gained 1.5% at Rs 819, and Larsen & Toubro has added 1.3% to Rs 2,738.

Cipla, ONGC, BHEL and Wipro are up over 1% each at RS 203, Rs 995, Rs 1,814 and Rs 359, respectively.

Jaiprakash (JP) Associates has slumped 5.5% to Rs 197. HDFC Bank has plunged over 3% to Rs 1,200, and HDFC has shed 2.4% at Rs 2,172.

ICICI Bank has dropped nearly 2% to Rs 743. Mahindra & Mahindra has declined over 1.5% to Rs 627, and Tata Motors is down over 1% at Rs 600.
