Sensex up 92pts; Maruti rallies 4%

The Sensex is now up 92 points at 12,473.

Maruti has rallied nearly 4% to Rs 979. Tata Motors, Tata Steel, Bajaj Auto and Ranbaxy have advanced over 2% each to Rs 863, Rs 531, Rs 2,991 and Rs 439, respectively.

NTPC, Reliance Communications, Gujarat Ambuja and Grasim are up around 2% each at Rs 130, Rs 346, Rs 117 and Rs 2,517, respectively.

HDFC, ITC, Dr.Reddy's and ACC are the other smart gainers.

ICICI Bank and Hero Honda are the porminent losers.

Out of 2,424 stocks traded so far, 1,637 have advanced, 721 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
