Sensex up 92pts; ONGC surges 3%

The Sensex is now up 92 points at 15,011.

Tata Steel has soared 8% to Rs 656. ONGC has surged nearly 3% to Rs 832.

BHEL, Reliance Energy, Ranbaxy and Hindalco have rallied around 2% each to Rs 1,850, Rs 783, Rs 375 and Rs 156, respectively.

SBI and Tata Motors have advanced 1.7% each to Rs 1,575 and Rs 674, respectively. HDFC Bank and Bajaj Auto have added 1.5% each to Rs 1,170 and Rs 2,330, respectively.

Infosys has shed 1.5% to Rs 1,854. NTPC is down 1% at Rs 165.

Out of 2,674 stocks traded so far, 1,512 have advanced, 1,078 have declined and 84 are unchanged.
