Sensex up 92pts; Reliance Energy zooms 6%

The Sensex is now up 92 points at 15,823.

Reliance Energy has zoomed 6% to Rs 758. BHEL and NTPC have soared over 4.5% each to Rs 1,847 and Rs 165, respectively.

Satyam has surged 3.5% to Rs 509. Larsen & Toubro has rallied 2.5% to Rs 2,680.

Dr.Reddy's and Hindalco have gained 1.5% each at Rs 677 and Rs 188, respectively.

HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel and Bajaj Auto are up over 1% each.

Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Motors have dropped around 2.5% each to Rs 802 and Rs 752, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever has shed 2% to Rs 200. ACC and Cipla have slipped nearly 1.5% each to Rs 1,122 and Rs 189, respectively.

Ranbaxy, Tata Steel and TCS are down 1% each.

Out of 2,686 stocks traded so far, 1,718 have declined, 914 have advanced and 54 are unchanged.
