Sensex up 93pts; NTPC zooms 5%

The Sensex is now up 93 points at 15,412.

NTPC has zoomed 5.4% to Rs 183. Dr.Reddy's has soared 4% to Rs 666.

Cipla has surged 2.8% to Rs 172. ICICI Bank and BHEL have rallied 2.3% each to Rs 905 and Rs 1,931, respectively.

Maruti has gained 2% at Rs 885. Mahindra & Mahindra and Hindalco have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 721 and Rs 160, respectively.

ITC has advanced 1.5% to Rs 173. Ranbaxy is up 1% at Rs 395.

ONGC has shed 1.8% to Rs 842. Bajaj Auto, Bharti Airtel and Wipro are down 1% each at Rs 2,322, Rs 872 and Rs 478, respectively.

Out of 2,750 stocks traded so far, 1,950 have advanced, 752 have declined and 48 are unchanged.
