Sensex up 93pts; RIL, Rel Comm shine

The Sensex is now up 93 points at 12,446.

HDFC has surged nearly 3% to Rs 1,480.

TCS has advanced nearly 2% to Rs 1,064. Wipro has gained 1.6% at Rs 537, and Infosys has added 1.3% to Rs 2,008. Satyam is up 1% at Rs 420.

Reliance, Reliance Communications, Bajaj Auto and Maruti have moved up around 1.5% each to Rs 1,161, Rs 343, Rs 3,110 and Rs 948, respectively.

Tata Steel has spurted 1.3% to Rs 514. Tata Motors, SBI, Reliance Energy, Dr.Reddy's and Grasim are up 1% each.

HLL has slipped over 1% to Rs 232. HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel and ITC are the other notable losers.

Out of 2,452 stocks traded so far, 1,312 have advanced, 1,069 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
