Sensex up 94pts at 10,074

The Sensex touched a new peak of 10,087, and is now up 94 is points at 10,074.

ICICI Bank has rallied 4.2% to Rs 633. HDFC Bank has advanced over 3% to Rs 768.

Tata Motors and Cipla have gained 2.5% each at Rs 754 and Rs 509, respectively. Maruti at Rs 752 and ITC at Rs 160 are up 2.2% each.

HLL, NTPC, Gujarat Ambuja, Dr.Reddy's, Infosys, Wipro and HDFC are also holding smart gains.

Ranbaxy and ONGC down 1.8% each are the major losers among the Sensex stocks. Reliance Energy down 1%.

Out of 2,558 stocks traded so far, 1,514 have declined, 971 have advanced and 73 are unmoved.
