Sensex up 94pts; breadth fairly +ve

The Sensex is now up 94 points at 17,744.

Reliance Energy has soared 3.5% to Rs 1,679. Grasim has surged 2.5% to Rs 2,966.

BHEL and HDFC Bank have rallied 2.2% each to Rs 2,131 and Rs 1,455, respectively.

ACC has moved up 1.8% to Rs 833. Ambuja Cements, ONGC and Infosys have advanced over 1.5% each to Rs 125, Rs 1,030 and Rs 1,638, respectively.

Reliance Communicaitons is up over 1% at Rs 598.

Bharti Airtel is down over 1% at Rs 840.

The market breadth is fairly positive - out of 2,620 stocks traded so far, 1,596 have advanced, 947 have declined and 77 are unchanged.
