Sensex up 94pts; Tata Motors rallies 3%

The Sensex is now up 94 points at 14,258.

Tata Motors has surged 2.7% to Rs 639. SBI and Maruti have rallied nearly 2.5% each to Rs 1,449 and Rs 795, respectively.

Tata Steel, Hindalco and Reliance Energy have moved up around 2% each to Rs 572, Rs 142 and Rs 720, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra and ONGC has gained 1.5% each at Rs 634 and Rs 795, respectively.

BHEL has advaned 1.3% to Rs 1,683. Ranbaxy and NTPC are up 1% each at Rs 352 and Rs 161, respectively.

HDFC Bank has shed 1.5% ato Rs 1,084.

Out of 2,458 stocks traded so far, 1,283 have advanced, 1,104 have declined and 71 are unchanged.
