Sensex up 95pts; ICICI Bank advances 2%

The Sensex is now up 95 points at 15,683.

The NSE Nifty is up nine points at 4,719.

BHEL has surged 4% to Rs 1,780. Tata Steel has gained 3.5% at Rs 680.

HDFC has rallied 3% to Rs 2,378. ICICI Bank and Cipla have advanced around 2% each to Rs 831 and Rs 217, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro has moved up 1.8% to Rs 2,628.

Hindustan Unilever has slipped nearly 2% to Rs 243.

Bharti Airtel, Satyam and Maruti have shed 1.7% each at Rs 815, Rs 422 and Rs 732, respectively.

ITC and Jaiprakash Associates are down 1.5% each at Rs 205 and Rs 218, respectively.

Out of 2,601 stocks traded so far, 1,687 have advanced, 829 have declined and 85 are unchanged.
