Sensex up 95pts; ONGC slips 2%

The Sensex is now up 95 points at 15,413.

Dr.Reddy's has soared nearly 4% to Rs 666. Cipla has surged 2.8%  Rs 172.

NTPC has rallied 2.5% to Rs 178, and Maruti has gained 2% at Rs 886.

Hindalco and BHEL have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 161 and Rs 1,920, respectively.

HDFC Bank, Ranbaxy, ICICI Bank and Tata Steel have advanced around 1.3% each to Rs 1,187, Rs 397, Rs 896 and Rs 699, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, ITC and ACC are up over 1% each at Rs 2,614, Rs 173 and Rs 1,079, respectively.

ONGC has shed 1.5% to Rs 844.

Out of 2,503 stocks traded so far, 1,792 have advanced, 656 have declined and 55 are unchanged.
