Sensex up 95pts; touches new peak at 10,196

The Sensex touched a new all-time intra-day high at 10,196, and is now up 95 points at 10,174.

Bajaj Auto has rallied over 5% to Rs 2538. Larsen & Toubro has surged 4.3% to Rs 2,341. While Dr.Reddy's has gained 4% at Rs 1,385, Ranbaxy has moved up 3.6% to Rs 454.

Tata Steel has added 2.6% to Rs 406. BHEL is up 2.4% at Rs 1,869.

Satyam, Tata Motors, ONGC and ITC are the other significant gainers among the Sensex stocks.

HLL has declined 1% to Rs 237.

The market breadth is fairly neutral. Out of 2,541 stocks traded so far, 1,334 have advanced, 1,133 have declined and 74 are unchanged.
