Sensex up 95pts; Wipro, Hero slip into red

The Sensex is now up 95 points at 12,416.

HDFC has rallied 2% to Rs 1,446. ICICI Bank has advanced 1.5% to Rs 688.

Dr.Reddy's, Ranbaxy and ITC have surged 1.3% each to Rs 748, Rs 422 and Rs 186, respectively.

Cipla, Tata Steel, ACC, HDFC Bank and Maruti have gained 1% each.
Grasim, Reliance Energy, Bharti Airtel and Reliance are the other smart gainers.

Wipro and Hero Honda are the sole losers among the index stocks.

Out of 2,229 stocks traded so far, 1,389 have advanced, 759 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
