Sensex up 96pts at 12,610

The Sensex is now up 96 points at 12,610.

ONGC has surged 3.6% to Rs 1,491. Tata Power has soared 3.5% to Rs 585.

ICICI Bank has advanced 3.4% to Rs 661. SBI has added 3% to Rs 1,004, and HDFC Bank has gained over 2% to Rs 874.

Hindalco has rallied nearly 3% to Rs 236, and Tata Steel has moved up 1.5% to Rs 669.

Reliance has spurted over 1% to Rs 1,169.

ACC, Grasim and Guajrat Ambuja have dropped around 2.5% each to Rs 976, Rs 2,371 and Rs 117, respectively.

Out of 2,637 stocks traded so far, 1,705 have advanced, 870 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
