Sensex up 97pts; Cipla soars 4%

 ONGC and Hero Honda have rallied around 2.6% each to Rs 974 and Rs 678, respectively. HDFC and Tata Motors have gained 2.3% each at Rs 1,750 and Rs 760, respectively.

HDFC Bank and ACC have moved up 1.4% each to Rs 1,028 and Rs 828, respectively.

Satyam and Infosys have slipped 2% each to Rs 465 and Rs 2,018, respectively. Tata Steel has dropped 1.4% to Rs 571.

Bharti Airtel was down 1% at Rs 865.

Out of 2,558 stocks traded so far, 1,450 have advanced, 1,016 have declined and 92 are unchanged.
