Sensex up 97pts; Infosys slips 2%

The Sensex is now up 97 points at 16,661.

Reliance Energy has soared over 3% to Rs 1,041.

ICICI Bank, Reliance and Maruti  have surged over 2% each to Rs 986, Rs 2,322 and Rs 949, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has rallied 1.8% to Rs 935. NTPC and HDFC Bank have advanced around 1.5% each to Rs 191 and Rs 1,343, respectively.

Reliance Communications and ONGC are up 1% each at Rs 586 and Rs 932, respectively.

Infosys has dropped 1.8% to Rs 1,789. ITC, Ambuja Cements and Hindalco are down around 1% each at Rs 188, Rs 145 and Rs 158, respectively.
