Sensex up 98pts; Cipla, Maruti weak

The Sensex is now up 98 points at 13,567.

ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank have surged over 4% each to Rs 919 and Rs 1,122, respectively. SBI has gained 3.7% at Rs 1,222.

ACC has rallied 2.6% to Rs 1,046, and Gujarat Ambuja has added 2.2% to Rs 140. Grasim has moved up 1.3% to Rs 2,743.

Satyam has spurted 1.2% to Rs 432.

Cipla and Marurti have slipped 1% each to Rs 262 and Rs 896, respectively.

Out of 2,435 stocks traded so far, 1,287 have advanced, 1,077 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
