Sensex up 98pts; L&T zooms 7%

The Sensex is now up 98 points at 16,021.

The NSE Nifty is up 29 points at 4,829.

Larsen & Toubro has zoomed over 7% to Rs 2,930, and DLF has soared 6.5% to Rs 725.

Bajaj Auto has rallied over 4% to Rs 2,069. NTPC has gained 3% at Rs 191.

ONGC and Grasim have moved up 2.3% each to Rs 991 and Rs 2,801, respectively.

HDFC Bank and SBI have advanced over 2% each to Rs 1,339 and Rs 1,921, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has shed 3.3% at Rs 776. HDFC and Satyam have dropped over 2.5% each to Rs 2,504 and Rs 398, respectively.

Maruti has slipped over 2% to Rs 873.
