Sensex up 98pts; RCom gains 2%

The Sensex is now up 98 points at 15,648.

Tata Steel and Larsen & Toubro have soared 5% each to Rs 716 and Rs 2,492, respectively. Bharti Airtel has surged 4.4% to Rs 935.

Reliance Communications (RCom) has rallied 1.8% to Rs 590. Mahindra & Mahindra and HDFC are up over 1% each at Rs 825 and Rs 1,979, respectively.

ACC has plunged 2.8% to Rs 1,118. Cipla has slipped over 2% to Rs 201.

Bajaj Auto and Hindustan Unilever have dropped 1.5% each to Rs 2,345 and Rs 195, respectively.

Hindalco and ONGC are down around 1% each at Rs 184 and Rs 887, respectively.

Out of 2,616 stocks traded so far, 1,558 have declined, 984 have advanced and 74 are unchanged.
