Sensex up 98pts; TCS rallies 3%

The Sensex is now up 98 points at 10,607.

TCS has rallied over 3% to Rs 1,805. Bharti Airtel and Wipro have gained nearly 3% each at Rs 381 and Rs 482, respectively.

Satyam, ONGC, Infosys, Hero Honda and HDFC have advanced over 2% each to Rs 710, Rs 1,117, Rs 3,172, Rs 765 and Rs 1,185, respectively.

ICICI Bank has slipped nearly 2% to Rs 490. HLL, Bajaj Auto and HDFC Bank are down 1% each.

The market breadth is negative - out of 2,080 stocks traded so far, 1,278 have declined, 731 have advanced and 71 are unchanged.
