Sensex up 99pts; REL gains 3.5%

The Sensex is now up 99 points at 13,716.

Reliance Energy has surged 3.5% to Rs 551. Wipro and Satyam have rallied 2.5% each to Rs 583 and Rs 464, respectively.

Reliance Communications and Bharti Airtel are up 2% each at Rs 424 and Rs 636, Larsen & Toubro and Hero Honda have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 1,372 and Rs 720, respectively.

Cipla, TCS and ICICI Bank have gained 1.5% each at Rs 262, Rs 1,165 and Rs 884, respectively.

HDFC has slipped 1.3% to Rs 1,621. ITC is down 1% at Rs 182.

Out of 2,469 stocks traded so far, 1,413 have advanced, 985 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
