Sensex up 99pts; Tata Motors advances 1.5%

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 46 points at 11,824. The index touched a high of 11,880, and is now up 99 points at 11,877.

Tata Motors has advanced 1.5% to Rs 876, and HDFC Bank has moved up 1.3% to Rs 885.

ICICI Bank, ONGC, ITC, Gujarat Ambuja, Satyam, NTPC, BHEL and Reliance Energy are up 1% each.
