Sensex up 99pts, Wipro zooms 5%

The Sensex is at 8,797 - a gain of 99 points (1.14%).

Infosys has moved up 2.3% (Rs 58) to Rs 2,611. Satyam has zoomed 3% (Rs 16) to Rs 590. Wipro has advanced 5% (Rs 18) to Rs 399.

ONGC is up Rs 9 at Rs 1,079. Reliance is up Rs 9 at Rs 803. SBI has added Rs 11 to Rs 956.

Dr. Reddy's, Bajaj, HDFC Bank, Grasim, L&T and Hindalco are holding gains at higher levels.

All the sectoral indices are also in positive zones. The BSE Teck index has zoomed 2% (43 points) to 2,207. The BSE Auto Index is up 1.7% at 3,784.

Advances are far ahead of declines - out of 2,547 scrips traded, 1,794 have moved up, 714 have declined and 39 are unchanged.
