Sensex volatile in early trades

The Sensex opened marginally (15 points) higher at 13,414. The index tumbled into red to a low of 13,236, but bounced back soon into the green to a high of 13,447.

The index has now slipped back into the negative zone and is now down 18 points at 13,382.

HDFC Bank has advanced 1.6% to Rs 1,051. Larsen & Toubro and Infosys are up 1% each at Rs 1,451 and Rs 2,215, respectively.

Hero Honda has slipped 2% to Rs 724. ONGC has dropped 1.5% to Rs 824.

HLL, NTPC, HDFC and Bharti Airtel are down over 1% each to Rs 226, Rs 141, Rs 1,527 and Rs 601, respectively.
