The Sensex opened higher and touched a high of 14,462 in the opening trades. However, profit-taking at higher levels coupled with weakness in metal stocks dragged the index into the negative zone. The index slipped to a low of 14,372, but soon rebounded and is now up 28 points at 14,432. Hindalco has tumbled over 2% to Rs 179. Grasim and Wipro have shed 1% each to Rs 2,782 and Rs 638, respectively. Reliance Energy has spurted over 1% to Rs 540. |
