Sensex volatile in early trades, down 19pts

The Sensex continues to exhibit volatile movement and is now down 19 points at 19,242.

Hindalco and HDFC Bank has plunged over 2% each to Rs 196 and Rs 1,644, respectively.

Reliance Energy has dropped 1.7% to Rs 1,798, and Larsen & Toubro has slipped 1.5% to Rs 4,020.

ACC and Mahindra & Mahindra have declined 1.3% each to Rs 1,048 and Rs 764, respectively.

ICICI Bank, HDFC and Grasim are the other prominent losers.

DLF has moved up 1.4% to Rs 957. Bharti Airtel has gained 1% at Rs 914.
