Sensex volatile; ITC up 3%, M&M down 6%

The Sensex is swinging between zones in a range of 200-odd points. The index opened 103 points lower at 9,631, soon rebounded and touched a high of 9,850. The index is now down 10 points at 9,724.

ITC has surged 2.8% to Rs 173. NTPC and TCS have rallied over 2% each to Rs 148 and Rs 511, respectively.

Bharti Airtel and Reliance haved moved up around 1.5% each to Rs 650 and Rs 1,188, respectively.

Reliance Infrastructure and ACC are up over 1% each at Rs 512 and Rs 470, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has plunged over 6% to Rs 356. Tata Motors has shed 4.5% at Rs 152.

 

ICICI Bank and Maruti have dropped 4% each to Rs 417 and Rs 577, respectively.

Tata Steel and Sterlite have slipped around 2% each to Rs 182 and Rs 233, respectively.

BHEL, Tata Power and HDFC Bank are down nearly 2% each at Rs 1,355, Rs 706 and Rs 1,4042, respectively.
