Sensex volatile, up 20pts; tech stocks firm

The Sensex has rebounded into the positive zone and is now up 20 points at 17,547.

The NSE Nifty is down 11 points at 5,122.

DLF has plunged over 4% to Rs 810. Bajaj Auto has tumbled nearly 3% to Rs 2,214.

Mahindra & Mahindra has dropped 2.5% to Rs 642, and Larsen & Toubro has shed 2.2% at Rs 3,550.

Tata Steel has slipped 1.8% to Rs 758. HDFC and Reliance Energy have declined 1.6% each to Rs 2,880 and Rs 1,955, respectively.

ICICI Bank and Hindalco have shed 1.4% each at Rs 1,090 and Rs 161, respectively. ACC is down 1% at Rs 765.

Infosys has surged 4.4% to Rs 1,546, and Satyam has rallied 3.7% to Rs 405. TCS has advanced over 3% to Rs 911, and Wipro has added 1% to Rs 414.

Ranbaxy has gained 1.3% at Rs 379. ITC has moved up over 1% to Rs 194.
