Sensex wanes; RIL, ONGC decline

The market is fast losing momentum after attracting considerable buying support in the early noon trades. Selling pressure in select heavyweight, tech and other select old economy stocks has trimmed the gains of the index. The Sensex is now up 22 points at 6,520.

ITC is up Rs 7 at Rs 1,305, and HLL is still up a per cent at Rs 145. Reliance has inched lower by Rs 3 to Rs 521.

SBI has added Rs 6 to Rs 615, and ICICI Bank is up a per cent (Rs 2) at Rs 373.

Grasim has gained 1.14% (Rs 15) to Rs 1,298, and ACC is up a per cent (Rs 3) at Rs 324. Gujarat Ambuja is up 1.31% (Rs 5) at Rs 397.

Tisco has logged 3.73% gains (Rs 13) to Rs 372.

Infosys (down Rs 6 to Rs 2,059) after trading with steady gains till shortwhile ago. While Wipro also is trading weaker by Rs 4 at Rs 753, Satyam is flat at Rs 409.

ONGC has declined a per cent (Rs 7) to Rs 849. While Hindalco has slipped Rs 6 to Rs 1,327, Bajaj is down a rupee at Rs 207.
