The Sensex opened with a gain of seven points over its last close at 7,560. After touching a high of 7,576, the index slipped into the red and touched a low of 7,505 following weakness in select banking and other heavyweights. The Sensex is down seven points at 7,546, while the Nifty is flat at 2,303. ICICI Bank has lost 1.59% (Rs 8) to Rs 500. SBI, too, is trading lower at Rs 747 - down Rs 2. ACC has dropped 3.58% (Rs 16) to Rs 426. Other cement majors, too, are largely weak in early trades. Dr. Reddy's and Cipla have commenced in the green at Rs 818 and Rs 340, respectively. TCS has added Rs 6 to Rs 1,271. Other tech pivotals, too, have opened with steady gains. |
