Sensex zooms 300pts, HDFC Bank gains 7%

The Sensex has zoomed 305 points to 19,043.

HDFC Bank has gained 7% to Rs 1,578.

L&T and SBI are up 3% each at Rs 4,286 and Rs 2,305, respectively.

HDFC is also up over 3% at Rs 2,593. Reliance is up 1% at Rs 2,709.

Infosys has slipped 1% to Rs 1,627. Wipro and TCS are also down.

Advances continue to be ahead of declines - out of 2,688 scrips traded, 1,879 have logged gains.
