Sensex zooms 378pts, Tata Steel soars 6%

The index is now up 378 points at 11,044.

After opening with a positive gap of 69 points at 10,735, the index has continued to surge ahead. The index touched a high of 11,047.

There is not a single loser among the Sensex stocks.

Larsen & Toubro has soared 6.7% to Rs 2,449. BHEL has rallied 4.3% to Rs 1,983.

Tata Steel has surged almost 6% to Rs 543, and Hindalco has added 4% to Rs 193.

Bajaj Auto has zoomed 4.6% to Rs 2,916. Reliance has gained 4% at Rs 986.

While ITC has surged 5% to Rs 190, HLL has moved up 4.5% to Rs 248.

HDFC has advanced 4.7% to Rs 1,207. Cipla has spurted 4.4% to Rs 233.

Out of 2,164 stocks traded so far, 1,782 have advanced, 344 have declined and 38 are unchanged.
