Sensex zooms over 100pts; Reliance up 3%

The Sensex zoomed to a high of 9420, up 109 points from its previous close. The index is now up 92 points at 9403.

Reliance surged to an intra-day high of Rs 900, and is now up 2.6%  at Rs 896. Reliance Energy has spurted 1.2% to Rs 618.

HLL and HDFC have moved up 1.3% each to Rs 189 and Rs 1,185, respectively.

TCS has added 1.5% to Rs 1,633, and Wipro has gained 1.3% at Rs 466. Infosys at Rs 2,804 and Satyam at Rs 738 are also trading in positive zone.

HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank have advanced over 1% each to Rs 749 and Rs 580, respectively. SBI is also in green at Rs 924.

Grasim has surged nearly 2% to Rs 1,452.

Out of 2,001 stocks traded so far, 1,388 have advanced, 557 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
