Sesame and mustard oil prices rose up to Rs 100 per quintal on the wholesale oils and oilseeds market on increased buying by vanaspati millers on pick-up in demand.
Traders said fresh buying by vanaspati millers to meet marriage season demand, mainly led to the rise in sesame and mustard oil prices.
In the national capital, sesame mill delivery oil rose by Rs 100 to Rs 6,350 per quintal.
Mustard expeller oil (Dadri) also gained Rs 50 to Rs 6,100 per quintal.
Mustard pakki and kachi ghani oils traded higher by Rs 5 each to Rs 775-930 and Rs 930-1,030 per tin, respectively.
Vanaspati ghee too traded in positive zone at Rs 1,065-1,140 against last close of 925-960 per tin on rising demand.
