The Reserve Bank of India has announced that the second tranche of the Sovereign Gold Bonds 2017-18 scheme will be sold at Rs 2,780 per gramme, Rs 50 discount to the open market gold price. 

Applications for the bond will be accepted from July 10 to 14.

The bonds will be issued on July 28. Bond issues are later on listed on stock exchanges and, hence, investor gets liquidity.
