Shakkar prices improved by Rs 50 per quintal today on brisk buying by retailers against restricted supply.
Elsewhere, gur prices maintained last week's levels in the wholesale jaggery market on some support.
In Muzaffarnagar gur khurpa prices remained in keen demand due to less arrivals and rose by Rs 100 per quintal, while prices ruled steady in Muradnagar.
In Delhi, shakkar prices gained from Rs 2,700-2,750 to settle at Rs 2,700-2,800 per quintal.
At Muzaffarnagar, gur khurpa prices swifted from Rs 2,150-2,225 to finish at Rs 2,250-2,300 per quintal.

Chakku Rs 2,450-2,500, pedi 2,600-2,650, Dhayya Rs 2,600-2,650 and Shakkar Rs 2,700-2,800.
In Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,900-1,975, chakku Rs 2,300-2,400 and Khurpa Rs 2,250-2,300
