Metal for delivery in March declined by 0.18%

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Silver prices fell by 0.23% to Rs 45,475 per kg in futures trade today, taking weak cues from the global market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in May fell Rs 103, or 0.23%, to Rs 45,475 per kg in business turnover of 42 lots.

Similarly, the white metal for delivery in March declined by Rs 79, or 0.18%, to Rs 44,466 per kg in business volume of 1,458 lots.

Market analysts said a subdued trend in the precious metals in the global markets on speculation that the Federal Reserve will continue reducing monetary stimulus in the US, led the fall in silver prices at futures trade here.

In the international market, silver traded a shade lower at $20.10 an ounce in Singapore.
