Silver futures decline on fresh selling

Silver futures fell by 0.30 per cent today on emergence of selling by stockists influenced by a weakening global trend.

Silver for delivery in December fell by 0.30 per cent to Rs 26,921 per kg with business turnover in 3,404 lots.

March silver shed 0.26 per cent at Rs 27,146 per kg with business turnover in 250 lots.

Marketmen said emergence of selling by traders influenced by a weakening global trend mainly led to fall in silver prices at futures market.

Meanwhile, silver shed 0.39 cent at $17.18 an ounce in New York last evening.
