Silver prices traded lower by Rs 68, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 29,065 per kg in futures trade today due to reduced offtake at the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for December month fell by Rs 68, or 0.23 per cent to Rs 29,065 per kg with an open interest of 2090 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery September month dropped by Rs 65, or 0.22 per cent to Rs 28,949 per kg in 18,556 lots.

Marketmen said reduced offtake following fall in demand at existing higher levels in the spot market mainly led to fall in silver prices in futures trade.
