Silver futures down 0.2% on profit-booking

Profit-booking by speculators affected the silver futures trade

Silver futures for March fell by Rs 129, or 0.24%, to Rs 53,843 per kg in 3,583 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the May contract declined by Rs 111, or 0.20%, to Rs 55,269 per kg in 510 lots.

Profit-booking by speculators affected the silver futures trade.

Besides, firming trend overseas capped the fall.

In Singapore, silver rose 0.2% to $29.07 an ounce.
