Silver futures down 0.3% on global cues

Sbdued domestic demand affected the trade

Silver futures for March fell by Rs 165, or 0.31%, to Rs 53,102 per kg in 1,551 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the May contract declined by Rs 146, or 0.27%, to Rs 57,421 per kg in 6,016 lots.

Sbdued domestic demand affected the trade.

Subdued global market trends as signs of economic optimism curbed demand for the precious metals as a haven, triggered fall in silver futures trade here.

In Singapore, silver fell 1.9% to $29.43 an ounce.
