Silver futures prices moved down by Rs 307 to Rs 56,895 per kg today, as speculators offloaded their positions, due to a fall in demand at existing higher levels in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March fell by Rs 307, or 0.53%, to Rs 56,895 per kg, with a business turnover of 211 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in December declined by Rs 288, or 0.52%, to Rs 55,423 per kg, with a business volume of 10,726 lots.
Market analysts said speculators offloading their positions on the back of weak trend at spot market on sluggish demand at prevailing higher levels pushed down silver futures prices here.
