Silver futures down 0.6% on global cues

Market analysts said a weak trend in the Asian region led to the fall in silver prices at futures trade

Taking weak cues from the global market, silver prices moved down by 0.68% to Rs 49,179 per kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed positions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver prices for delivery in March next year traded lower by Rs 335 or 0.68%, to Rs 49,179 per kg in business turnover of 9 lots.

Similarly, the white metal prices for delivery in December declined by Rs 322, or 0.67%, to Rs 47,942 per kg in business volume of 793 lots.

In the international market, silver traded a shade lower at $21.68 an ounce in Singapore.

Market analysts said a weak trend in the Asian region led to the fall in silver prices at futures trade here.
