Silver prices gained Rs 152 to Rs 52,139 per kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions on the back of rise in the spot market demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in July moved up by Rs 152, or 0.29%, to Rs 52,139 per kg, with a business turnover of 1,476 lots.
The September contract rose by Rs 132, or 0.25%, to Rs 53,425 per kg in 6,742 lots.
Marketmen attributed to the rise in silver futures to pick up in demand in the spot market.
