Silver futures prices extended losses for the second straight day by losing Rs 347 to Rs 50,155 per kg today, due to sustained selling influenced by weakening global trends.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in July plunged by Rs 347, or 0.69 per cent, to Rs 50,155 per kg, with a business turnover of four lots.
Likewise, the white metal for delivery in March fell by Rs 325, or 0.66 per cent, to Rs 48,895 per kg, with a business turnover of three lot.
Analysts attributed the continued fall in silver futures prices to weakening global trend. Meanwhile, silver lost 0.85 per cent to $32.78 an ounce in Asia.
