Silver futures for May rose by Rs 185, or 0.3%, to Rs 60,891 per kg in 110 lots.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the March contract was up by Rs 162, or 0.27%, to Rs 59,540 per kg in 2,196 lots.
Silver futures went up as speculators created fresh positions.
Expectations for more stimulus while US lawmakers wrangled over the debt limit supported silver futures globally.
In Singapore, silver rose by 0.8% to 32.11 an ounce.
