Silver futures prices traded marginally higher by Rs 43, or 0.15 per cent, to Rs 29,173 per kg today on pick up in demand in the spot market at existing lower levels, influenced by a firm trend overseas.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, silver for March gained Rs 43, or 0.15 per cent, to Rs 29,173 per kg, with an open interest of 169 lots.

The metal for delivery in September-month also traded marginally higher by Rs 5, or 0.02 per cent, to Rs 28,989 per kg, with an open interest of 19,812 lots.
