Silver futures up 0.24% on global cues

Increased buying by speculators pushes up silver prices to Rs 65,596 per kg

Silver prices moved up by Rs 160 to Rs 65,596 per kg in futures trading today on increased buying by speculators on global cues.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March rose by Rs 160, or 0.24%, to Rs 65,696 per kg, with a business turnover of 251 lots.

December silver traded higher by Rs 139, or 0.22%, to Rs 63,943 per kg, with a business turnover of 9,881 lots.

Marketmen attributed the rise in silver futures to global cues.

Meanwhile, silver rose 0.6% to $33.69 an ounce in Singapore.
